Smoke alarms
Main Index
All private rooms have smoke alarms. In the four
basement rooms the alarms are tied together, so if you are in the basement
(rooms 1-4) and the ceiling alarm sounds use caution, and check the other
rooms, if nobody answers call us for help.
If the alarm persists or if smoke
is seen warn others, leave the house to call 911.
If your room alarm blinks
red or starts to chirp, call us, don't rip it off
the ceiling, it will just continue chirping (even without the battery).
If you damage the alarm you will pay to replace it .
If the main
hall wall alarms sound leave the house, the system is monitored
and the fire station will automatically be notified. You
are worth more than anything else!
Fire extinguishers are located
by the exits and in hallways take time to notice where they are, Do
not risk your life to use them.
If the box in the front hall
starts to whine just call us, it's just feeling
isolated and unloved. The main fire alarm system "borrows" (piggy backs
off) two of the bedrooms phone lines and if someone turns off their line
(when they move out, or if US west steals it) and the system does it's
daily check for a phone connection and one is not there, well, it
just gets upset and screams out for attention.
